Jeremy de Vries-Turnell | Manager

Jeremy has been a musician for as long as he can remember, originally playing violin before moving his focus to voice in his high school years.

After many year of violin, Jeremy was drawn to singing, especially in groups, finding there to be something powerful and rewarding only found in music created with just the voice.

Despite the distractions of a film degree and subsequent full-time work, Jeremy has always made time for singing. He has performed with a variety of choirs including The WA Youth Chorale, WAAPA's Eneksis and Vocal Evolution .

Singing in large choral ensembles has a power of its own but during Jeremy’s time with Vocal Evolution he discovered the rewards of singing in smaller groups with one voice per part. This led to the creation of the all male A Capella quartet 3 Men & A Tenor. The group sang together for  almost 3 years, competing at the National Barbershop Quartet Competition where they won gold in the youth contest and bronze in the open before going on to represent Australia in the youth section of the International Competition.

When one of it’s members left, 3 Men and a Tenor added three women to reform into the A Cappella sextet Just After 5. Along with Naya Chorale, these two group now fill Jeremy’s musical life.
